China 2006 – travelling from Hong Kong to Shanghai.
These pictures illustrate the sharp contrasts between the old and new, the bright and the dark china, as well as my helplessness towards this utterly foreign world.
“You have barely arrived, still a little groggy and suddenly you get clobbered with Hong Kong’s skyscapers. Gently you sink into the chilly, endless and commercialised dark waters of a supernational metropolis.
